Meet Darcy Llewellyn

Darcy Llewellyn is a new graduate family nurse practitioner with a personal interest and passion towards treating skin conditions. Darcy recently graduated from a primary care focused Family Nurse Practitioner Master’s at the University of British Columbia. This program included multiple primary care clinical placements that ignited her passion for dermatology.

Darcy’s education started with her undergraduate nursing degree with distinction through BCIT with a speciality nursing certificate in emergency pediatric nursing. After four years of working as a registered nurse in the pediatric emergency department, Darcy started her Family Nurse Practitioner program through the University of British Columbia. In this program she was provided multiple clinical opportunities to learn more about primary care skin conditions and management. Darcy graduated this program with distinction in June 2023 and is looking forward to working with the amazing Shine MD team.

At Shine MD, Darcy is looking forward to guiding comprehensive treatment plans for patients with skin concerns with a focus on acne, acne scarring and rosacea. She will be providing aesthetic treatments and supporting patient care at Shine MD. Under her scope of practice as a Nurse Practitioner, Darcy is able to prescribe medications and perform aesthetic treatments independently. We are lucky to have her as part of the team!
