A referral from a General Practitioner is required.

We offer a comprehensive selection of leading acne treatments to reduce and eliminate breakouts on the face and body. After your initial consultation with Dr. Shehla Ebrahim, our experienced family physician, she will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs and expressed goals. Silk Peel™ Microdermabrasion

One of our most popular options, the Silk Peel™ treatment addresses the top layer of skin, called the epidermis, using a non-invasive microdermabrasion technique. By gently exfoliating the skin, we can remove dirt, bacteria, oil, and debris from clogged pores, which typically are the cause of most breakouts.

The Silk Peel™ microdermabrasion system is also one of the most effective methods of acne treatment available. The technique is painless and requires no anesthetic. Furthermore, this method is appropriate for nearly every skin type and color, often including damaged and sensitive skin. We utilize advanced technology that is nonabrasive, and no harsh, messy, or irritating granules or particulates will be used. Additionally, we moisturize the skin to increase hydration levels and to help ensure the skin is soft, supple, and luminous.

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

Photodynamic Therapy, also referred to as PDT, is a state-of-the-art treatment for acne that is designed to be highly effective at diminishing oil production, reducing the size of pores, and reducing bacterial growth. During the procedure, a photo-reactive solution will be applied to your skin and light energy will then be delivered into the targeted areas. As a result, your skin can become softer, smoother, and healthier with fewer, less severe, or no future breakouts.

Blue Light Therapy

A type of intense pulsed light (IPL), blue light therapy can help you reduce the overproduction of bacteria that causes acne on the face and body. The device is designed to deliver a high intensity, narrow band of blue light into the area of concern, affecting only the blemishes and leaving surrounding tissue unharmed. This method of treatment is often very effective and typically painless. You should be able to return to your daily activities immediately following the procedure.

Professional Skincare Products

Separate from or in addition to other treatment modalities, Dr. Ebrahim may recommend one or more skincare products from our selection of high-quality skincare lines. These innovative formulas can help to improve the tone and texture of your skin, as well as to develop a healthier, more luminous appearance over time. We are proud to carry several of the finest brands, including:

  • Dr. Ebrahim’s professional skincare line
  • SkinCeuticals®
  • GloMinerals®
  • Celazome®

Physician Directed Prescriptions

In some cases, Dr. Ebrahim may recommend a course of medication to accompany our other acne treatments. These oral and topical medications can work from the inside out to help you achieve clearer, healthier skin. During your initial consultation, she will discuss the risks and benefits of taking prescription medication in combination with your other recommended methods of treatment.
