How Does SkinTyte™ Work?
As our skin ages, it loses its natural firmness and its ability to bounce back into position after it has been stretched. This is due to the breakdown of proteins in the skin called elastin and collagen, which naturally deplete as the skin ages and is exposed to harmful UV rays. The reduction of these proteins can cause skin laxity.
SkinTyte™ utilizes advanced infrared light technology to restore youthful firmness to the skin. The innovative treatment heats the deeper layers of the skin to promote the contraction and partial coagulation of the collagen within the dermis, causing the body to begin its natural healing process. As the skin heals, it produces new collagen and elastin, leading to the appearance of tighter, more youthful skin.
While the SkinTyte™ light energy is being delivered into the dermis, the technology simultaneously cools the outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, with a sapphire crystal. The SkinTyte™ system also uses sensors to continually monitor the heat of the skin and precisely maintains the temperature, ensuring it is between 0 and 30 degrees C. This protects the entire treated surface and ensures the treatment is as safe and comfortable as possible.

Prior to your SkinTyte™ treatment, the treatment area will be cleansed to ensure there is no makeup, skincare, dirt, or debris on your skin. Then, one of our clinicians will apply a topical anesthetic to your skin to improve your comfort level. The laser will then be evenly distributed over the surface of your skin, and gentle pulses of light will heat the dermis. You may feel the warmth of the laser on your skin throughout the treatment, but it should not be overly painful.
The treatment is fast, and while the exact amount of time depends on the size of the area, you can expect the average treatment to take around 30 minutes.
There is little to no downtime required after a SkinTyte™ treatment. You may experience mild warmth or redness in the skin immediately after the procedure, but no activity modifications are necessary. SkinTyte™ is safe and effective for all skin types, and it can be used to treat loose, sagging, or aging skin. After SkinTyte™, the skin appears noticeably more firm and has a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
Most people will require 3-6 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart, depending on each patient’s circumstances and treatment goals. Any area of the body can be treated. Common treatment areas include the:

After SkinTyte™, you may notice your results in as little as two to three weeks. The results will be most visible after a series of treatments. To preserve your results, we recommend occasional maintenance treatments.
